They fell in love, didn't they?

Interesting weekend.

So...this weekend was pretty good.  We left for Carrolton County at 10-ish and arrived at the competition site around 3 or 4.  Maybe 5, I dunno.  We ate dinner, which was actually pretty yummy - chicken sandwich for me.  Then we went and sat in the stands long enough to see all of one band.  Then we went and changed into our uniforms and got our instruments out, then did some stretches and whatnot before heading to our warm-up site.  Once there, things started to get a little intense, probably because of Mike and Steve and the dark and the full moon.  Then we walked to the field, standing in our straight line.  Mike was running up and down the line trying to get us pumped and he was telling the low brass to "play like you have a big set of hairy-" and stopped when he got to me.  I raised my eyebrows at him and waited for him to finish and he just waved his hands at me and said, "yeah, you too."  It was pretty funny.  Anyway, we marched on, apparently it had the effect Mike wanted it to have, so that's good.  I marched a pretty decent show.  My marching was probably the best it's been all year, but my playing was far from perfect.  I couldn't seem to get any of the notes out right.  I guess it was just nerves.  I'm not sure, though.  We placed third, overall.  First place band deserved first.  I'm not upset about that.  I'm kinda upset that we didn't get second place though.  No one can really explain to us why Marist beat us - that's just the way the scores worked out.  Anyway, that night at the hotel was fun.  We (Me, Sis, Hil, and Jo) messed around with Mike/Steve/Marlon for a little while.  The next morning was a little hectic.  They woke us (Me, Sis, and Hil) up at 9 and told us we were going to start loading up the bus at 10.  So we waited around about 10-15 minutes, then started heading downstairs for breakfast.  We ran into Brian S. on the stairway and he mumbled some crap about how we needed to be in our rooms packing, not going downstairs, blah blah blah.  We'd just woken up and were a bit hard of hearing, and he mumbles all the time anyway, so none of us heard him.  Leslie half-joking retorted with something along the lines of "Shut up Brian, no body likes you" and Hilary followed him back up the stairs and me and Sis continued down for breakfast, forgetting all about the whole episode.  Apparently, though, Brian didn't forget because he added us in his blog about how shitty his weekend was (SUCKS FOR HIM!), complaining about "these girls" who gave him attitude and disrespected him and needed midol, etc.  We all thought it was so hilarious because none of us thought it was a big deal and he blew it out of proportion.  The busride home sucked for the last like hour and half though because I had to pee like a mofo.  Yup yup.  Today, in econ, Jozay told me and Sis about some story from the trip, I'll just say it involves a pillow placed strategically over someone's ass and dry humping.  We all thought it was so funny though, we were laughing so hard we cried.  It was great.  It wasn't even all that funny, but I haven't laughed that hard in a while.  Band today pretty much sucked, but I've already talked about it enough.  Westman made a funny comment at practice today.  Yeah, "Hey, come look at this!"  Hehe...well, anyway, guess I should be off to bed.  Goodnight, y'all!
